GE Vingmed Ultrasound A/S, a part of GE HealthCare, is a market leader in production and development of cardiovascular ultrasound devices. We have a proud history of innovation, manufacturing ultrasound systems with excellent image quality and a wide range of image quantification and image visualization solutions for better healthcare. We are developing cutting edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, leveraging a range of methods within Machine Learning. Most of the AI activities require access to large amounts of curated data. To further increase our focus on AI technology development and big data handling, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Display and Image Analysis group. You will join a global team of highly motivated expert engineers focusing on topics such as image filtering, 3D image navigation, rendering, quantification/measurements, real-time analysis, AI solutions and workflow optimizations.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and objectives of AI projects in the field of medical echocardiography.
Design, develop, and maintain robust and compliant data pipelines for acquiring, processing, and managing large-scale echocardiography datasets.
Implement and optimize machine learning workflows, ensuring seamless integration with our AI algorithms and models.
Work closely with data scientists and software engineers to deploy and scale AI solutions for clinical applications.
Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure the quality and reliability of input data.
Work with stakeholders to ensure that all data is handled and stored in a GDPR (and other relevant data regulations) compliant way.
Support regulatory submissions for new AI features
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on AI projects.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Experience with big data technologies
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Organized way of working, with high attention to details.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations, especially in the context of medical imaging.
Prior experience in medical imaging or echocardiography data analysis.
Understanding of DICOM standards and medical imaging file formats.
Prior experience with privacy regulations
Prior experience with regulatory submissions in healthcare
Familiarity with SQL databases
