Required Skills

Position Summary The primary objective of this role is to develop and implement procedures, systems, and reports which address project status and forecasts.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a cost/schedule, analyze, appraise, and forecast schedules, cost, estimating, and information functions

  • Interface with client management and coordinate project control with other related programs and within the core group

  • Coordinate EEO functions and labor reporting for the project

  • Maintain subcontractor contracts payments, and payment applications to the client

  • Maintain and update procurement schedule for the project

  • Work with project management on planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff

  • Participate in project decisions regarding cost and scheduling

  • Investigate problems and/or reported incidents; identify and recommend solutions/alternatives as appropriate

  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by project management.

  • Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, training, etc.

  • Ability to relocate as needed

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction related field preferred

  • 5 – 7 years of heavy civil construction experience required

  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and HCSS Heavy Bid is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of estimating, change order pricing and change management
