POSITION: Bartender DUTIES: The Bar Tender provides assistance to the Bar Manager with everything from stocking supplies to mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales.

Bar Operations Ensure health, safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times Work closely with the Bar Manager to ensure that the bar is running smoothly and that all customers are satisfied.

Bar Tender Monitor stock levels and advise Bar Manager when necessary to ensure that the bar is fully stocked at all times Keep up to date with new products, trends, and promotions Diffuse tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed. Report any and all incidents in writing to management. Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner and report in writing to management. Responsible for proper cash handling procedures Follow company policies regarding drink recipes, ingredients, and preparation methods. Make sure all proper policies, procedures and safety protocols are followed. Keep bar stocked at all times with liquor, syrups, juices, garnishes, cups, napkins and all other necessary bar items Maintain a clean, clutter free and sanitary bar and customer area. Make sure you are cleaning upon customer exit. Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and prepare bank deposits Adhere to all local liquor laws and regulations Continually be looking for new and creative ways to increase bar sales and enhance the customer experience. Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Excellent verbal communication skills Self-starter with the ability to work well with a team Have extensive knowledge of common drinks, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines. Knowledge of general bar equipment, beer taps, POS system, etc. OTHER/DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2+ years bar tending experience Customer service experience
