Munson Healthcare Emergency Room Technician II (Nursing Assistant) in Traverse City, Michigan

Shift: Days / 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Sign-on bonus available

SUMMARY: This role supports the Emergency Department in patient care tasks, patient interactions, supply stocking, transportation of patients, and assisting with procedures. The role utilizes clinical knowledge to assist with patient needs and allows for professional development in areas of clinical skills, communication, and customer service. Daily work includes utilizing phones, answering call lights, working with peers, and patient interaction.

The Emergency Department at Munson Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center, Regional Referral Center, Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, with a dedicated behavioral health wing. The Emergency Department is 43 beds to provide care for northern Michigan.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum one-year emergency/urgent care experience required or college education equivalent.

Maintains BCLS certification.

EMT licensure preferred.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess the ability to evaluate the criticality of patient needs.

Must possess superior customer relation skills.
