Valley National Bank Division Sales & Service Liaison in Township Of Washington, New Jersey

The Divisional Sales - Service Liaison is a sales and service professional that acts as the liaison between the division leadership, the Branch teams and our internal/external partners to ensure consistent reporting, strong process alignment and increased performance. The DSSL would help support the advancement of the division by supporting the sales and service initiatives of the bank.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and as needed
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in collaboration with Division Heads and Market Managers to ensure effective scorecard Management, including but not limited to Salesforce review/comparison and timely sales - service reporting updates.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations on ranking reports, service updates, contests/bank initiatives and recognition to branch teams, etc.
  • Participate in and lead a segment of the weekly/monthly divisional sales - service meetings. Assist the Division Head with preparation, team building exercises and PowerPoints.
  • Strengthen Valley's Service Model and program through branch and virtual meetings/visits by ensuring effective and consistent use of sales - service coaching, observation and meeting tools to support the quality development of our associates.
  • Support the Division in handling client issues and requests including but not limited to; follow up on existing transactions, preparing and processing documents related to new and existing business clients; serve as the customer's liaison with internal departments.
  • Assist in preparation and customizing CRA presentations for opportunities available to the division, including planning events and tracking - inputting results.
  • Act as the second contact point for business clients behind the Market Manager - Division Head, providing expertise in all products and services.
  • Work as a liaison between IT and branch to ensure a seamless on-boarding experience for new hires at every level. Work with branch teams to ensure sufficient mentorship support, training and resources are available.
  • Maintain knowledge of the entire bank's consumer and commercial deposits product line, wealth management and Insurance products, cash management and commercial loans as well as external partner products and services. Perform banking transactions in conjunction with the branch that would include wire transfers, new accounts, or any other service that the client is requesting.
  • Support the Bank's Strategic Plan as well as, Retail Banking promotions and initiatives. Serve as an expert on these initiatives. Exercise knowledge of risk management, loss prevention and follow the bank's CIP / KYC requirements. Report suspicious / unusual activity to the BSA / AML department.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and organize.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expert PC skills including Microsoft products such as Excel, Power Point, MS Word and MS Teams.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 5 years sales/business development experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and sales/business development experience with a bank, credit union, or other financial institution preferred.
  • FIS/IBS (Integrated Banking Solutions) preferred.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
