Boehringer Ingelheim Supply Planner (F/M) in Toulouse, France

The Supply Chain department based on Toulouse industrial site (450 employees in Animal Health) is looking for 3 supply planners, permanent contracts

Basic purpose of the job

  • Balancing the overall demand and supply situation with respects to the defined min and max stock targets at the affiliates.

  • Responsible for evaluating the outputs of MRP and preparing the short-term detailed production/procurement schedule for assigned materials. This may include areas of intermediate production, finished good packaging, and/or contract manufactured materials.

  • It is also the responsibility of the Supply Planner to evaluate and calculate capacity constraints by assigned work center, in order to assist in developing mid to long range capacity strategies and contribute to the site objective to maximize the OEE.

  • The Supply Planner will work to achieve the corporate supply goals of customer service level, on time and full order fulfillment level (OTIF), inventory targets, adherence to the defined min and max targets, minimization of back orders and outdated inventory, and overall continuity of supply to customers.

  • The Supply Planner will routinely interface with fellow supply planners, production execution, quality management, inbound/outbound logistics, as well as the Demand Planners at the affiliates level within the worldwide network of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health and is the assigned contact for Global Supply teams in the headquarter in Ingelheim for intermediary actions such as product allocation decisions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Master Production/Supply Planning and Constrained Supply Planning by using SAP ERP system as well as Advanced Supply Chain Planning System MWB

  • Work and align with Quality function to prioritize releases to ensure timely and full supply of our customers

  • Collaborate with site procurement & API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Planning team to ensure alignment on long range API demand, site API inventory levels and short/medium API availability to support MPS (Master Production Schedule) as well as interface with all internal functions as well as Global Supply Chain teams to ensure product supply meets our customer’s requirements economically and efficiently in line with VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) roles & responsibilities

  • Ensure successful launches and transfers by following up on timely SKU and master data creation, and, in the case of transfers, timely and correct transfer of demands

  • Accountable for Service Level, e.g OTIF, backorders, Schedule Adherence

  • Change agent for supply chain improvements and underlying value streams for his/her products. Identify opportunities in supply planning, product formats, inventory management, campaigning strategy, to improve CSL performance in key areas such as reliability, lead times, responsiveness, cost, on-time delivery, inventory levels

  • Support the team with enhancing Supply chain knowledge and share best practices

Requirements :

Master Degree in Supply Chain and Engineering or related disciplines applicable to Supply Chain, Logistics and Global Manufacturing with a minimum of ten years’ experience in manufacturing environment (Pharma industry will be a plus). APICS certification (CSCP and/or CPIM) preferred

Minimum of ten years’ experience in manufacturing environment (Pharma industry will be a plus), including hands-on operational experience with state-of-the-art processes, tools and strategies for maximizing customer service in the areas of Production Planning, Material Replenishment and Warehousing (inventory management, warehouse & material flow strategies, RCCP etc.).

Significant MRP-system understanding and direct experiences in ERP SCM applications (SAP and Manufacturing Workbench (MWB) or comparable ERP systems), SAP experience strongly preferred.

Will be required to learn the production processes for all materials in the assigned area of responsibility.
