Job Summary

Responsible for the group function "Technical Compliance" in the respective location (classe d'emploi G13). Responsible for local roll-out and monitoring the Technical Compliance Management System (TCMS) as well as to drive its continuous improvement.Coordinate local TC clearings and incidents and align with global team for appropriate handling and decision making.

Job Responsibility

1. TC General :

• Drive the local strategic agenda of Technical Compliance by setting respective targets and priorities on local level in alignment with Head of TC

• Ensure an effective local Technical Compliance Management System (TCMS) in cooperation with Divisions, Business Units, plants and relevant group functions

•Monitor the local process / system effectiveness as well as TCMS risks and regularly provide reports to the Head of TC

•Maintain professional relationships with external parties e.g., regulators, auditors, suppliers or testing institutes, including dealing with queries, investigations

• Establish and maintain relevant TCMS 2nd Line of Defense (LoD) processes on local level, specifically the Clearing and Incident Management Process in close alignment with TC Systems Management

2. Governance:

• Review local audit reports with respect to TC relevant aspects

• Monitor derived measures in 1st LoD, drive required improvements in TCMS

3. Training/Culture:

• Drive local cultural development for TC

• Development and implementation of country specific training rollouts, measures and tools

• Advising employees of all hierarchical levels on TC

4. Monitoring:

• Monitoring of TC relevant processes and measures carried out (e.g. clearings, Legal Technical Regulations, trainings)

5. Collaboration:

• Coordination of communication and cooperation with customers together with sales, PM

• Develop the TCMS organization as the leading advisor on Product Compliance to internal clients (by handling daily requests e.g., from engineering or product management on international regulatory as well as normative requirements)

Requirements

  1. Competency:
  • Strategic Planning: Derive and develop local strategy, Procedual expertise, Strong commercial acumen

  • Leadership: cultural development on country level

  • Operational: Analytical skills for complex aspects(products, functions, process, legal etc), decision making, conflict resolution

  1. Required languages: English , German

  2. Required education: Master’s degree or comparable in engineering / MINT (with relevant specialization / experience in highly technical environments) , Preferably, additional / post graduate studies in economics/legal/MBA

  3. Work experience requirements:

  • Professional: >3years working experience in the field of development.

  • Project: Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple work locations and hierarchical levels

  • Process: Strong understanding of various automotive regulations and norms, such as EN, ISO, IEC e
