[BenchMark of Torrington, P.C., a small (8-10 employees) Surveying and Engineering firm located in Torrington, Wyoming, is seeking to add a dedicated and experienced GIS Technician. [Responsibilities: [Our office has seen an increased need for someone experienced in GIS. This person will be responsible for coordinating with Goshen Countys GIS consultant, and incorporating geographic data into new and existing systems in our office. [When not occupied with GIS-related work, this person may be expected to fill in on a survey crew or perform other office tasks such as records research or CAD drafting.   • Associates Degree or other certification (tech school, ESRI training) in GIS;
  • 1 year of experience in GIS;
  • Ability to operate GPS, Total Stations, and other survey equipment;
  • Ability to work under and respond to stressful situations;
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility;
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

[We are a small, busy firm involved in many types of engineering and surveying projects. We offer a great work environment with a combination of both office and field work, opportunity for advancement, and fully reimbursed continuing education. We offer vacation, sick leave, six paid holidays, retirement with employer match, and fully paid health/dental/vision insurance for the employee. Starting salary range is $40,000 - $50,000 (plus benefits), commensurate with experience. This position is not available for remote employment, but overnight travel is rare. Valid Drivers License is required.
