The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Torrance State Hospital is actively seeking individuals who have worked with troubled youth or sex offending youth or adults to be part of our Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program team. Our program deals with individuals who were adjudicated of certain sex crimes and are about to reach their 21st birthday but are still in need of continued treatment.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program Aide, you are responsible for carrying out various resident activities related to therapeutic activities such as processing with residents or monitoring their behavioral plans and other activities of daily living such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and room cleanliness for individuals and groups. Your work involves providing instruction and assistance to residents carrying out therapeutic activities and other daily tasks as prescribed in their individualized treatment plan.

You are also responsible for supporting behavioral change and maintaining control and safety. You will receive and must maintain certification and competency in CPR and be able to demonstrate competencies in application of techniques and maintain certification in our current crisis intervention model. In addition, you are responsible for keeping a daily log of and documenting both difficult and positive behavior as related to the individual Plan of Care Goal.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 80-hours biweekly Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), with 30-minute lunch.
