Description We are in search of a Tax Accountant to join our team based in Torrance, California. This role primarily involves overseeing all tax-related tasks within our organization. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advising on tax strategies. This position is integral to our financial operations and requires a high level of skill and expertise in taxation and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure all tax filings and reporting requirements are met.

• Analyze financial statements, records, and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities and assess the tax implications of various financial decisions.

• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide tax advice.

• Prepare reports summarizing tax liabilities, credits, and deductions and provide recommendations for tax strategies and improvements.

• Utilize accounting software systems and tools such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, CCH ProSystem Fx, and Quickbooks Online for effective tax management.

• Perform various accounting functions and ensure compliance with entity formation and financial statement regulations. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, CCH ProSystem Fx is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in Auditing and Compliance is necessary.

• Familiarity with Entity Formation and Financial Statement preparation.

• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and Quickbooks Online is preferred.

• Experience with C Corp is a plus.

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Should be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask effectively.

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and uphold all company policies and procedures.

• CPA certification is preferred.
