Job Description

The International Logistics Coordinator will oversee and manage the processing, tracking, and tracing of international shipments to ensure compliance with governmental rules and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of export requirements and involves coordinating with customs agencies to ensure timely delivery. The coordinator will also prepare and submit necessary documentation, analyze material inventory reports, and maintain shipping schedules. Additionally, the role includes providing customer service, resolving shipment issues, and maintaining department files.

Responsibilities

  • Process, track, and trace international shipments to ensure compliance with governmental rules and regulations.

  • Understand, interpret, and apply export requirements needed for importer customs clearance.

  • Coordinate and verify import and export orders, working with applicable customs agencies to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with CA/US Government regulations for export customs regulatory compliance.

  • Prepare, validate, and submit documentation for product acceptance and payment from customers.

  • Analyze material inventory reports and place purchase orders to support production schedules.

  • Build and maintain shipping schedules for all inbound/outbound shipments, both domestic and international.

  • Complete international packing lists using Excel.

  • Provide quotes using third-party vendors.

  • Perform data entry functions through Microsoft Great Plains ERP system and SalesPad order fulfillment system.

  • Assist customers and resolve shipment issues and complaints.

  • Maintain department files and routine correspondence with small parcel and LTL freight carriers.

Essential Skills

  • 4 years of experience within the transportation industry.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Strong experience in logistics and customer service.

  • Knowledge of transportation and global logistics.

  • Experience handling import/export orders.
