What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of the Enterprise Physical Security team within Corporate Security, this position will support the delivery of its overall mandate by supporting the physical security operations program. The Senior Manager, Physical Security Operations Centre is strengthening relationships with internal/external stakeholders, operational support, optimizing security preparedness and response, overseeing day-to-day physical security initiatives to ensure the requirements of the physical security operations program are met. The position will contribute strongly to the strategy, management and cost effectiveness of the overall enterprise physical security program, recognizing the increasing importance of the management of risk in the environments in which CIBC operates.

This is a regular full time role with a schedule of 37.5 hours each week and after-hours requirements as such some flexibility is required.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Program Management – Management of physical security operations programs, standards and procedures to reduce risk to our employees and clients and to our physical, informational, financial, and intellectual property assets. Oversight and management of contracted physical security protection personnel and associated physical security operations strategies.

  • Program Developmen t - Accountable for the development and establishment of various physical security standards and procedures across the enterprise. Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mechanism for existing programs and review and assess emerging trends and strategies for suitability.

  • Program Governance – Develop and lead a program to measure the effectiveness of various operational programs and initiatives and report on associated metrics. Oversee a program to ensure associated documentation is maintained according to records retention policies. Developing governance and oversight strategies necessary to fulfill monitoring and reporting accountabilities for standards owned by the Physical Security Team. Facilitate Reviews of CIBC’s Corporate Security Standards, updating as necessary to ensure the standards reflect the evolving operating and threat environment.

  • Relationship Management - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support CIBC’s physical security efforts. This will include establishing lines of communication and a network of good professional relationships.

  • Vendor Management - Oversight and management of contracted physical security service providers and associated strategies. Ensure vendor and product compliance with SLA/KPIs.
