The Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Cloud Infrastructure DevOps team at TELUS is looking for YOU - a dedicated team member who draws from your technical expertise to make a meaningful impact!
Our team is at the forefront of cloud technologies, providing foundational technologies and support across all TELUS services through software defined infrastructure and NFV. We design, build, and operate cloud environments for our internal services. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, keeping you at the edge of this emerging technology.
You will have a focus on both development as well as operations, collaborating with the rest of our DevOps team on this high-profile infrastructure, ensuring it is stable, reliable, and flexible. At the core of your strengths is your ability to see the big picture - you understand that your contributions are integral to keeping TELUS ahead of the technological curve, while enabling our customers to grow and prosper.
Provide support for production cloud infrastructure and container platform delivery pipeline through automation and tools development
Work in partnership with various development teams, operational support teams, project managers, vendors, and internal clients
Determine, establish and implement operational requirements and processes to support new infrastructure applications/systems
Perform incident management, root cause analysis and implement stability solutions for distributed applications or systems across multiple environments
Develop and maintain new features, and present to stakeholders
Create and maintain documentation for supported infrastructure and platforms
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
Minimum 5 years experience working with Cloud, Data Centre, Infrastructure or XaaS technologies
Proficient in application development and operational support in distributed systems environment with a continuous improvement mindset
An automation champion with demonstrated experience in solving technical and process challenges with repeatable, automated solutions
Experience working with virtualization and container platforms such as OpenShift or OpenStack
Knowledge of some or all of following: Gitlab (CI/CD), Terraform, Ansible, Git, Bash, Python, Docker, CRI-O, K8s, REST API
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Experienced with monitoring and assurance tools: Prometheus, Full stack APM (such as Dynatrace), Appformix, Pagerduty, ServiceNow
Telecommunications industry experience
Openstack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Juniper or Cisco certification
