As the Manager, Unsecured Lending Products, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic business direction of various unsecured lending products. In this role you, you will contribute to the profitability and revenue growth of the consumer portfolio through the development and maintenance of consumer lending products and initiatives that maximize market share and growth opportunities. You will also ensure product profitability is maximized, products are competitively positioned and delivered efficiently for existing and future customer needs.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Create and maintain a product development plan for the unsecured lending portfolios for Retail customers
Lead the development and implementation of product and marketing objectives and strategies for the portfolio
Lead the evaluation and development of customer-centric products and programs and product distribution system enhancements
Evaluate opportunities through design and review of financial models that analyze risk, cost, budget and overall financial consequences
Develop strategic proposals that fit into overall department, division and Bank objectives
Recommend and implement approved pricing strategies
Assess the economic and financial feasibility of new product opportunities
Develop and maintain a full understanding of high quality market intelligence, competitive landscape of competitor products and delivery channels, and internal management information
Manage the communication of products, related policies and procedures to internal and external partners
Maintain lines of communication with internal partners about product needs, competitive opportunities and trends
Maintain a current awareness of operational procedures, systems and issues facing the various delivery channels to identify opportunities for product changes
Gather and maintain a history of competitive pricing and identifying past and future pricing trends, price leadership and overseeing the development and maintenance of pricing models to analyze revenue impacts
Produce ad-hoc monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports/dashboards for executive that include key measures that are meaningful and accurate
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to obtain their buy-in and resources to proceed with plans and projects
Direct the process of product development and enhancement to ensure competitive and comprehensive products are offered
Create business cases for new or enhanced product, system and operational development
Ensure business requirements are accurately prepared and interpreted, meet the needs of all stakeholders, and provide all information required to support new or enhanced product
Provide ongoing support to internal partners, channels and customers, ensuring up to date information is available to field staff and other users through all publication channels (circulars, manuals, job aids, the resource centre, pricing guides, marketing material)
Support the development and delivery of sales training materials, programs, periodic newsletters, circulars, procedural guidelines/operating procedures so that up to date information is provided to the field
Develop and facilitate related training information seminars
Ensure timely responses to field enquiries and that complaints/problems escalated to the business line are resolved
Ensure operational and systems problems are identified and solutions implemented by the appropriate operational and systems departments
Lead and oversee communication of the business lines policy and strategic objectives to the field and providing direction or authorization on issues with policy implications
Support authorization of non-standard pricing within defined authorization range
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
Several years of related professional Banking industry experience; specific retail lending product experience is a strong asset
Prior product management, project management, strategy or experience operating a business is a strong asset
Experience and competency with P&L analysis, building presentations, project plans and dashboards
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
The ability to build strong working relationships with a team player mentality, and adept at problem solving
A passion for creating customer value and curiosity in consumer lending
