Job Summary

CN Customer & Intermodal Solutions Group is the team building Supply Chain, Customer and Trucking Logistics products for CN Technology group. We pride ourselves on being innovative and agile to build the best products for our customers.

As an expert software development, your mission will be to provide guidance to the software development team, to deliver high quality high availability systems that meet defined business requirements. You will be responsible for the quality of the products built by the team and to evolve and improve engineering process and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

· Understand the requirements and functional specifications to be able to translate them in a technical implementation.

· Produce and/or revise technical design(s) when required to ensure usage of standard technologies and platforms.

· Contribute to code, participate to code review, provide technical guidance, and support development team to ensure compliance to standards and best practices.

· Ensure code scanning reports are reviewed and issues addressed to maintain a high level of quality and security. Ensure security vulnerabilities remediation.

· Make sure the team takes ownership of the product development, quality, and content.

· Ensure the team works as per Agile practices including PI planning scrum ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning with estimates based on team capacity.

· Ensure the team supports the products during implementation, stabilization and participate to post-mortem in case of any failed release.

· Participate to Product Golive Operationalization as technical SME.

· Contribute to the evolution of the software engineering standards and practices.

· Actively coach and evaluate team performance while maintaining a collaborative work environment.

· Provide ongoing feedback to the manager regarding individual and team performance, team initiatives, and customer escalations.

· Improve operations by identifying system inefficiencies and implementing plans to address them

Experience / Education

· Minimum 7 years relevant work experiencein development of large applications with multiple integration points across various platforms.

· Experience in leading software engineering teams.

· Organized and self-driven, capable of motivating and inspiring colleagues

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Must Have Skills

· Strong knowledge of development with Java, Spring, Micro-services, API.

· Strong knowledge of database development, SQL, NoSQL.

· Strong knowledge of GIT, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and releases.

· Strong knowledge of unit testing and quality assurance concepts.

· Strong knowledge of software design patterns and modeling like UML.

· Ability to learn and understand a full stack technology landscape with frontend, backend, data integration and lead team to deliver on these platforms.

· Strong leadership skills applicable in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

· Ability to influence team members to foster collaboration, quality and efficiency.

Nice to Have Skills

· Knowledge of Cloud based development, we use mainly GCP.

· Knowledge of Kubernetes, GKE, CloudRun, Docker

· Knowledge of code scanning tools like SonarQube, BlackDuck, Fortify

· Experience working with vendors and outsourcing firms and managing outsourced staff.
