    The kind of work you'd be doing:

  • Lead the Build and Release Automation Team responsible for automating the delivery of our SaaS products to kubernetes environments on GCP

  • Own the CI/CD lifecycle and its infrastructure, ensuring high reliability, availability, and security of our builds, artifact creation, and deployments

  • Effectively utilize technologies such as jenkins, terraform, ArgoCD, kustomize, helm, docker, kubernetes, GCP Cloud

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support to the CI/CD systems managed by the team

  • Collaborate with internal teams to build a roadmap for improvements to our tooling and pipelines

  • Manage the growth and mentorship of the your team through regular one-on-ones, goal setting, and performance reviews

  • Ensures the team follows “infrastructure as code” best practices when building out automation code/scripts through paired programming and code reviews

    Ideal qualifications

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Build Engineer, or Software Engineer with a DevOps flare, with the responsibility of creating and maintaining modern CI/CD tools

  • Proficiency in managing continuous integration tools to create multi-stage build pipelines, using technologies such as Jenkins and Artifactory

  • Strong knowledge and experience using and configuring container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and/or Kustomize

  • Prior experience managing and configuring ArgoCD for continuous delivery (or an equivalent tool for CD pipelines)

  • Prior experience adding security tooling into CI/CD pipelines

  • Prior experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure (vms, k8s clusters, etc)

  • Prior experience creating reusable libraries using languages like Groovy, Ruby, Go, etc.

  • Prior experience leading and facilitating scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; familiarity with Jira for ticketing a bonus

  • In depth knowledge and experience in software development practices, such as working with Git, performing code reviews, paired programming, unit testing, UI & performance testing, and promotion of code to production environments

  • Familiarity with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Familiarity with cloud architecture and networking
