POSITION OVERVIEW

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial transactions and record-keeping for our restaurants. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoices and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

TEAM & DEPARTMENT

The Bookkeeper will report to the Corporate Senior Accountant while working alongside the Financial Analyst with day-to-day accounting tasks.

COMPENSATION 

The Bookkeeper is entitled to a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year aligned with experience, 2 weeks of vacation, benefits and a meal allowance to keep you fueled up while you work. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Transactions:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately using accounting software (NetSuite).

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.

  • Invoices and Payments:

  • Generate and process invoices for vendors, suppliers and customers promptly and accurately.

  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies.

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on overdue payments and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Compile and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

  • Record-Keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Safeguard confidential financial information and ensure data integrity.

  • Assist in audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

  • Relevant certification is a plus.
