The Corporate Access Team manages the strategy and execution of connecting corporate and institutional clients ensuring that interactions are targeted and compensated. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Global Equity team, ensuring specific goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the teams’ business strategies and objectives. The Associate, Corporate Access and Equity Marketing role will focus on supporting the Corporate Access – Canada Product Team on all aspects of day‐to‐day operations and interacts frequently with a number of internal and external clients and key contacts. Additionally, the Associate will progress to acting as back‐up for specific team members and take on additional responsibilities as assigned. Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate will work with and have the ability to build relationships with many Global Banking and Markets teams through various projects and client outreach.

Key Accountabilities

  • Reaches out to internal and external clients on matters essential to relationship management in Global Equity, including conference management and execution, logistics for corporate access, analyst marketing and ad-hoc tasks as assigned

  • Data management to build accurate schedule reports, investor profiles and general tasks related to day to day corporate marketing

  • Assisting with on‐site and/or virtual event set‐up as well as meeting logistics as assigned

  • Ongoing oversight of CRM Data and Global Equity Calendar

  • Prepares detailed reports and pulls data points on request for executive management

  • Assists with preparation of PowerPoint presentations, marketing pitches and ad hoc reports as directed to generate new business

  • Consistent, high-level internal coordination with stakeholders in

  • Equity Sales and Trading, Equity Research, Equity Capital Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Scotia Wealth, Internal Investor Relations Team, CEO’s office

Functional Competencies

  • Fast learner, strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities to manage deliverables effectively, and develop insights and recommendations

  • Superior attention to detail and comfort reviewing complex documentation

  • Knowledge of capital markets products, processes and policies an asset

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and initiative in an evolving and sometimes unstructured workplace

Education / Experience

  • 3 plus years of related experience

  • University Post-Secondary Education

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Completion of The Canadian Securities Course or working towards completion

Non-standard working hours. Weekends and evenings will be required.
