What You'll Do

Supports the development of change management strategies and strategic priorities by:

  • Lead aspects of planning, delivery, development, and execution of change for organizational transformation programs, projects, and initiatives affecting people, technology, and processes

  • Lead & participate in workshops to clarify guiding principles, organizational vision, business transformation, and change management initiatives to CTC’s strategic priorities to effectively identify challenges and opportunities

  • Lead the propagation and implementation of agile practices throughout the organization.

  • Champion and communicate the value of an Agile transformation from a broad perspective for both technology and business teams.

  • Build a leadership and accountability mindset at all levels, helping to develop and evolve the future vision of agility across the organization.

  • Earn trust as an advisor to assigned business group and operate at a group/enterprise-wide level, serving as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify opportunities and deliver the appropriate coaching and mentoring of Agile/SAFe® to all levels of the organization. Provide coaching plans and strategies to teams and individuals

  • Engage teams in a design process of their operating model, and identify the Agile framework and team structure best fit to the business objectives (e.g., current state assessment, value stream mapping, team composition)

  • Support leaders in the planning and implementation of new processes and practices by facilitating a progressive adoption sequence of the Canadian Tire operating model.

  • Ensure the removal of obstacles at the organizational level (e.g., cultural barriers, structural challenges).

  • Facilitate capability assessments within teams and provide recommendations targeted at evolving the learning journeys of product leads, product owners and scrum masters.

  • As part of the CoE, design and deliver meaningful training to educate teams and leadership on the agile mindset, principles, and practices.

  • Assist internal clients to recruit, onboard and deploy agile roles.

  • Assist with launching and coaching pods and squads.

  • Define and measure agile maturity to support continuous improvement.

  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for enterprise agility programs.

  • This role is required minimum 4 days onsite.

    Domain Expertise/Agile Experience

  • 5+ years coaching at the Organizational/Enterprise level, preferably at multiple companies

  • 5+ years coaching at the Team level

  • Ability to coordinate and navigate the organization to guide senior executives towards agile methods

  • Extensive experience leading large scale transformations

  • Expertise with operating model design, organizational change management and culture change

  • Knowledge in organizational design, business agility and agile leadership

  • Design of stable and multifunctional teams aligned to value streams

  • Demonstrated ability to promote the agile mindset, share knowledge in agile, lean, and different frameworks / ways of working or implementation

  • SAFe® Agilist Certification or equivalent is a must. SAFe ® SPC is strongly recommended.

    Individual Skills

  • Ability to build organizational structures that help the evolution of high-performance teams

  • Experience with SAFe® and tools that help improve and optimize value streams (e.g., value stream mapping, Kanban)

  • Expert facilitator with the ability to train and coach team members to executives

  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms to people in all levels of leadership and across the organization

  • Executive presence with exceptional influencing skills

  • Competence in using Jira, Confluence, other analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

  • Knowledge of Retail Business is an asset
