XYLEM is looking for a new colleague for the following position:
Procurement Manager Eastern Europe
Responsibilities
Performs material and services procurement activities and cost productivity for Xylem, focusing on goods and services supplies to Xylem Commercial Team offices and service locations in Eastern Europe
Primary growth center representative in designated Xylem commodity teams. Conducts procurement activities for strategic commodities directed and managed by Procurement Europe, including execute category strategies, policies, and guidance.
Defines, and implements sourcing strategies, including portfolio analysis, supply base optimization, supply chain optimization
Leads, coordinates and performs procurement activities in Supplier Development-, Value Engineering-, and Product Development-projects.
Identifies internal customer requirements across the entire organization and collaborates with internal customers to drive procurement value and customer satisfaction.
Coordinates with regional Buyers and all other counterparts (Sales, Operations, After-sales support, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Material Planning, etc.) and stakeholders to determine supplier performance as it impacts commodity strategies, contract management, and overall commodity supplier management
REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Degree qualified (or equivalent; at a minimum Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field)
Proficient with Microsoft applications
Exceptional negotiation, commercial and stakeholder engagement and project management skills
Project Management Background
Strong knowledge of international logistics
Extensive experience (min. 4 years) with procurement in comparable role
Experience from multiple industries
Fluent in oral and written English language
Valid driver’s license.
Desirable:
Experience of following commodities: electronic hardware, control panels, polymerics, castings, metal machining, MRO, car fleet, facility management
Experience of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
Experience of VA/VE projects
TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) process development
Experience of working within the Water Industry
Experience of working within a sales organisation
