Senior Manager, Energy Efficiency Outreach
West Coast, Remote As our Senior Manager for Outreach, your role will be to lead an Account Management team focused on commercial and residential Energy Efficiency Programs sponsored by West Coast utilities.
You will develop an outreach and savings goals strategy based on your proven experience and will oversee a team of account managers to develop outreach strategy to customers and contractors and build a pipeline of projects. Attention to detail will be paramount to accurately analyze and transmit the business requirements you gather. Pivotal to driving success is a keen understanding of the unique energy efficiency account management process that is needed for energy efficiency programs and the ability to identify key drivers to success in these scenarios. Additionally, you’ll collaborate to work with the necessary departments to ensure timely delivery and communication of program materials and IT solutions to the account management team and/or contractors. You’ll use your finely tuned communication skills to engage in high-level discussions with program management to determine business drivers and goals that can assist in achieving these needs.
Develop well-defined outreach and goals-based objectives for Account Management and Account Executive team members
Track, report and adjust strategies based on actual vs. forecasted performance
Develop a robust and well-qualified energy efficiency pipeline of projects
Work closely with the Account Management and Account Executive teams and Program Managers to set outreach strategies and execute on tactics that increase the number of submitted applications
Work with other program team members to investigate and understand the internal business processes; and strategize, present, and demonstrate how maximum program participation can help customers achieve their fiscal goals
BA/BS degree (or equivalent work experience) specific to account management, sales, marketing, communications, business management, or engineering
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
5+ years of direct sales or account management experience
3+ years of supervisory experience
Familiar with the concepts of energy efficiency and sustainability
Set and execute on a multi-year growth strategy
Remote position possible, but travel to California may be required
Sales or account management experience in energy efficiency products or related fields
Experience managing sales teams
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills
Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities
