In this position...

The Senior Adobe Analytics developer will be part of a team responsible for implementing a robust end-to-end tag management solution and framework for the Ford digital properties across the enterprise. This individual will be a key member of the Global Data Insights and Analytics team, working alongside the Global Digital Product teams and agency partners to help optimize the analytics tagging implementation.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter, have a combination of strong analytical, problem solving, data manipulation skills and experience with the ability to influence strategic recommendations in the tagging eco-system. Success in this role greatly depends on his/her ability to be organized, prioritize requests, and build collaborative working relationships with team members across the organization.

Although this is a remote opportunity, there is a preference for candidates with the ability to work hybrid out of our Dearborn, MI office. Hours will be EST.

What you'll do...

  • Configure and implement end to end Adobe analytics site tagging based on the solution design reference and define efficient data capture methods.

  • Partner with product, analytics, and agency teams to setup robust tagging for key KPIs within Adobe Launch, Digital Data layer, test and validate end to end implementation.

  • Identify process efficiencies and make recommendations for ongoing tag management, data collection and governance.

  • Develop cohesive measurement strategies and planning that ensures data collection aligns to measurement priorities and recommend processes for integrating platforms to ensure data flow between systems.

  • Enhance requirements for digital data layers (event based like ACDL) within Ford’s Tag Management solution (Adobe Data Collection).

  • Must be hands-on and work as part of technical analytics team for data framework implementations using Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe DTM (Adobe Launch), mobile SDKs, Adobe APIs, and corresponding features.

  • Create and maintain Adobe Analytics JavaScript tags and plugins. Troubleshoot scripting issues on the digital platforms using browser’s console and other tools.

  • Participate in QA and deployment processes (Agile methodology, etc.).

  • Participate/lead discussions with customers, cross functional teams and senior leadership on analytics strategy, requirements, algorithms behind specific metrics and drive resolution where needed.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years working in Adobe Analytics, including experience working with Adobe tag management systems (Launch/DTM)

  • 2+ years of experience in design, development, and implementation of Adobe tag management solutions for company web, mobile and app platforms.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Excellent understanding of Tag Management System Architecture, Cloud-based information systems, solid debugging and troubleshooting skills (Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger and Omnibug), experience leveraging APIs for reporting automation.

  • Have solid analytics implementation experience across the life cycle and digital platforms (including web, responsive and native apps) using Adobe Analytics especially for complex eco-systems (multiple sites/apps, 100s of custom tags, multiple implementation techniques for main site/syndicate sites etc.)

  • Ability to create/ interpret Page Variables document.

  • Ability to create Solution Design Reference and convert it to exact script code to be added on page/app screens or user actions on page

  • Ability to activate, create and configure rules within DTM/Launch, Test and validate data capture, Configure the Adobe Analytics environment to accept data, Utilize a data layer within a deployment.

  • Front end web development experience (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, jQuery, etc.). Ability to write custom scripting, JavaScript, jQuery or other coding languages in web environments and tag management tools to accommodate custom tracking requirements.

  • Thorough knowledge of Analytics Workspace, reporting and admin console in Adobe Analytics. Must be comfortable with segmentation capabilities within Adobe Analytics.

  • Experience in leading discussions focused on analytics implementation, customization, and automation of data collection processes.

  • Must be able to manage time effectively within a complex environment, and always remain composed in the event of conflicting priorities.

  • eCommerce experience with order/checkout
