Guidehouse Director of Commercial Health IT Advisory in Topeka, Kansas

What You Will Do :

This Director role will lead a net-new Healthcare IT Advisory team in coordination with the broader Commercial Health Payer / Provider practice accountable for go-to-market strategy, sales, solution development, and project execution across four primary solution set verticals:

  • IT Assessments & Strategic Roadmaps

  • Application Strategy / Implementation

  • IT Infrastructure Strategy / Implementation

  • Data Management & Analytics Strategy / Implementation

This role will also work in tandem with existing cross-practice solution teams relevant to IT (ex. digital health, EMR, Cybersecurity, etc.) both individually and in support of Guidehouse's broader commercial health solution offerings.

What You Will Need :

  • At least 8-10 years of commercial health payer / provider experience within the solution verticals identified above. Relevant experience can include either / both employment at management level directly within a provider setting as well as consulting.

  • 3+ years delivering programs in a consulting or consulting like environment; planning and driving complex, multi-faceted, multi-site, IT systems programs at health systems

  • Strong Client Relationships skills with Health System C-Suite and VP level with a demonstrated ability to drive meaningful action that significantly improved IT and Business effectiveness.

  • Deep knowledge and 5+ yrs. of designing multi-workstream IT solutions at health systems with a depth in at least two of these areas including: IT Assessments & Strategic Roadmaps, Application Strategy / Implementation, IT Infrastructure Strategy / Implementation, Data Management & Analytics Strategy / Implementation

  • Strong understanding of health system (or Health plan) business operations

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and ability to independently produce documents or aptitude to develop this level of skill within a defined period of time;

  • Four- year degree at an accredited university or college, MBA preferred.

  • Ability to travel routinely up to 15 + nights per month

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Not only relevant technical and industry leadership experience but have prior success and demonstrated results in an advisory consulting environment as it relates to go-to-market strategy, sales, client relationship management, and project delivery.

  • Working as CIO, Deputy CIO or similar role in a large health system and accountable for the adroit use of technology to enhance health system or health plan operations reducing cost of IT or improving process with IT.Or consulting advisory work directly advising the CIO/CTO/CMIO

  • Must be able to make positive presentations before individuals and groups and win the trust and confidence of others.Have the base skills and personality to participate in business development activities.

  • Adroit use of methodology and leadership within the project management setting; PMO experience a plus MS Project Experience preferred

  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A leader but also a team player; demonstrates attention to detail and problem solving skills; able to work independently.

  • Previous hands-on experience with client services, training and project development desired.

  • Personal integrity and a strong personal commitment to meeting client needs are required.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,600.00-$298,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
