Insight Global Property Tax Manager in Tonawanda, New York

Job Description

A leading global company is looking for a Property Tax Manager to sit hybrid out of Tonawanda, NY. This person will be responsible for business personal property tax abatement tracking and compliance including filing annual, quarterly and semi-annual reports in a timely manner. They track and pay real property bills, ensuring the property list is accurate by coordinating with the real estate department. This role involves creating annual asset files for compliance vendors, preparing annual property tax accruals and budgets, and working with controllers to estimate changes in the asset base. The manager reviews and approves property tax reconciliations, prepares true-up entries, and communicates bill-back files for accurate pass-through billing. They will act as a liaison between compliance vendors and the business, validate tax savings, and conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, they estimate taxes for new projects, provide documentation to customers, and supervise clerical personnel. This role is offering a compensation of $120k-130k.

Skills and Requirements

5-10 years of Business Personal Property tax experience in a large multistate corporation.

Overseeing the taxation of personal property owned by a business.

Experience with Property Tax Abatement Compliance.

Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables & v-lookups).

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with PTMS or other Property Tax management Software.

Experience coming from a mid to large size company.

Highly organized and ability to multitask. null
