Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment in an around-the-clock production environment. Duties include performing special assignments, such as, new equipment installations and performing preventive maintenance duties. Also, this position will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, production machines and equipment, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic, electrical, PLCs, bearings, welding, and automated systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years' experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery in production environment.

  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Knowledge of the function, wiring, and troubleshooting PLC’s

  • Locating and diagnosing trouble in electrical systems or equipment

  • Knowledge of the functions and troubleshooting VFDs and motor control circuits.

  • Ability to work any shift, overtime and weekends as needed, to support production schedules and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. No continuous rotating shifts but opportunities to move to preferred shift are common as company grows.

  • Be authorized to work in the US.

  • Must have own tools.

  • Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

  • A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.

  • This position requires taking a maintenance skills test prior to interviewing.

24/7 manufacturing operation offering seven (7) days off over a fourteen (14) day period. Shift hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - OR - 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off). APPLICANTS MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK EITHER SHIFT. You will enjoy a pre-determined schedule with no mandatory overtime, and every other weekend will be a three-day weekend. Voluntary overtime will be available for those who want it.

Pay: $29.95 - $39.81 per hour

Sign-on and Retention Bonus: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years
