MAINTENANCE TRAINER SUPERVISOR

ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Position is responsible for managing the maintenance training program. This includes developing and implementing a schedule to conduct training for all maintenance personnel.

The maintenance trainer will facilitate the Litmos Training Program. The program consists of training modules, hands-on lab, and field training. Trainer will manage the progress of each team member and provide appropriate feedback to team member, management team, and union.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the maintenance training program instructing assisting all new maintenance employees and ensuring that each employee is able to satisfactorily demonstrate mechanical competencies

  • Provide feedback to new team members, supervisors, and manage progression through training.

  • Spend time with each new employee during their qualification period verifying hands-on training and comprehension

  • Develop and maintain lab equipment and classroom facilities

  • Conduct classroom training for all maintenance new hires and annual re training

  • Schedule level skills training

  • Schedule and direct workforce for the day

  • Administer orientation safety training as well as ongoing safety training for all maintenance team members

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Engineer

Experience Required

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including some weekends

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead other toward achieving personal and plant results
