Position Description:

Works under general supervision, requires thorough knowledge of inventory control, institutional policies and procedures, salvage procedures, and state regulations. Develops, implements, and enforces policies and procedures on inventory control. Coordinates, analyzes, and controls Pharmacy inventory. Prepares annual inventory report for internal and external agencies. Keeps all inventory records as required by Federal Law and Ohio Revised Code


  • 18 months of training or experience in inventory control; 3 courses (or 9 months experience) in electronic data processing related to inventory control as well as database management; 1 course (or 3 months) experience in public relations

  • Or 9 months experience as Inventory Control Specialist

  • Should be able to work well with the public and other health professionals

  • Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Lifts 45-50 pounds

  • National pharmacy technician certification

  • Board of pharmacy certified pharmacy technician license

Working Conditions:

Works in pharmacy department primarily. May have to go to warehouse and storerooms. May be exposed to hazardous materials. Work is often of a physical nature. Work may require standing for up to 8 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds.
