It's Not Just A Job, It's A Mission.   Your work at Toledo Zoo makes a difference in being able to fulfill our mission of ensuring endangered species are maintained, researched and protected!  You would be instrumental in ensuring our animals, representing over 720 species are well cared for and that endangered species around the world are protected with our global conservation efforts.  

If you choose to accept this mission, we need your help as a Food Services Associate.  

RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: 

  • Assisting the Zoo's Food Service Department in various outlets that serve food and alcohol with both front of the house and back of the house duties.
  • Duties may also include working a cash register, taking orders, the responsible distribution of alcohol, serving catered events and stocking.
  • Cleaning and organization will be an essential function of this position as well as assisting with food preparation and cooking.
  • Assisting the Manager on other tasks as assigned 

Candidates must be able to take direction, work independently and multi-task.  Strong customer service and communication skills are a plus.  Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, and can include holidays.  Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
