ProMedica Health System Echo Tech / Registered Cardiac Sonographer -NWOCC Ancillary - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is one of the largest acute-care facilities in the region. Position Summary

Perform cardiac imaging and other non-invasive cardiology procedures as performed by the department.

Accountabilities

Performs cardiac sonographic imaging and all necessary functions required to complete procedure for interpretation. Interacts with cardiologists and physicians as necessary for completion of the procedure and to answer questions concerning the performance of the procedure. Performs cardiac stress testing on patients with complete knowledge of different stress protocols and the computerized capabilities of the equipment used to perform the test. Performs Holter monitors. Knowledge of how to correctly set up and document test. Performs quality assurance data collection and analysis. Serves as a resource for cardiac sonography for other technologists and hospital staff. Input on computers for charging and diagnostic patient data. Performs other duties as directed.

Requires two (2) years’ experience in a non-invasive cardiology lab with a focus in cardiac imaging or Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology with clinical course work in cardiac imaging. Must be a registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer through ARDMS/CCI. May be required to take call to perform echo and TEE’s after hours. BLS required. Must be able to move about department and between workstations. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to differentiate colors, tolerate exposure to blood borne pathogens and body fluids, and operate cardiac ultrasound equipment, controls, machinery, and desk machines. Must be able to frequently move, lift and/or carry medium weight objects and materials Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
