ProMedica Health System Accountant - Corporate Finance - Corp Financial Services - Full Time - Hybrid in Toledo, Ohio

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Corporate Finance functions to serve as the support to Business Unit Finance leads, Corporate Business Unit leads.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of assignments under general supervision, including recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing data and records of financial transactions utilizing the principles of accounting. Job responsibilities include a variety of financial duties that support data collection, analyses, report(s) development, and monthly financial closing process. Responsible for monthly financial statements produced in accordance with GAAP for a group of operational entities. Conduct research and resolve business unit inquiries for assigned functional areas. Perform variance analysis and research and communicate explanations. Provides timely accurate financial information supporting Senior Financial Leadership as necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prepares/records monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepares P & L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports or statements for a portfolio of business units. Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine trends and to identify reasons for significant variations from standard, planned or prior year’s performance. Builds good working relations with and provides support to facilities, operators, finance teams and other departments to ensure a timely and accurate flow of information. Presents analyses to satisfy internal and external requests, with appropriate comments, to managers and others for inclusion in broader studies. Assists with Form 990 preparation as needed, including preparation of supporting work papers. Works with management and team members to implement process improvements and complete tasks in a timely and efficient matter. Ability to work independently with high level of initiative. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Attends and participates in scheduled in-service programs and staff meetings and represents Corporate Finance in interdepartmental meetings. Maintains confidentiality of necessary information. Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
