Scope:

The Supplier Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying business opportunities in Mouser’s product offerings. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and will assist in being a driver for regional marketing and development efforts, from strategy, market share positioning, competitive analysis, financial and operative analysis leading to successful execution of strategy and goals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Researches and analyzes industry and competitive conditions, customer and supplier needs.

· Designs the marketing strategies to capitalize on business opportunities.

· Drives the process with multiple departments and suppliers to plan and launch their products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

· Must be comfortable in various settings, from analyzing data, to interacting confidently with senior management in discussing strategy, market and competitive conditions.

· Launches supplier initiatives and therefore provides product solutions/unique advantages to suppliers and customers so that Mouser is considered the preferred partner for suppliers and the preferred provider of products for customers.

· Leads the planning and strategy for all direct marketing communications using a multitude of mediums to communicate to customers, both internal and external.

· Builds and implements test strategies for supplier marketing activities, and analyze to better understand customer behavior and maximize results.

· Develops vendor partners that support supplier initiatives to enhance company's ability to meet marketing goals.

· Strives to align market intelligence efforts with the Mouser’s core purpose strategy, which will result in targeted return on investment objectives.

· Discovers new product marketing opportunities that support new designs and advanced technologies through strategic meetings with suppliers.

· Ability and experience in reading, analyzing and interpreting scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.

· Available & willing to travel regionally & internationally as needed. Valid passport and other required travel documents, or eligible to obtain required documents for travel.

· Works closely with the Supplier Management Team in Mouser Corporate to develop deeper relationships at suppliers

· Identify new opportunities and both create and maintain product road maps.

· Provides the strong product and management support from region to corporate to maximize all potential growth opportunities globally.

· Works effectively while being responsible to various departments/management staff.

· Reports to Director of Supplier Marketing & Business Development for region.

· Responsible to VP of Global Supplier Marketing at Corporate Headquarters for supplier marketing specific initiatives.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) at the advanced level preferred.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.

· Interpretation of market conditions and future opportunities.

· Strong verbal & written communication, local language & English minimum.

JOB LEVELS

Supplier Marketing Manager

· 4 year degree from a college or University in technical qualifications, marketing, or business administration.

· 3+ years relevant work experience, or an approved combination of education and experience.

· Experience in marketing, internet business and electronic distribution in assigned region, preferably with a multi-national organization.

Senior Supplier Marketing Manager

· Acts as mentor for newer team members

· Drives assigned projects that will bring new and incremental business opportunities to Mouser

· Specializes on a given product group/type in order to find regional gaps & opportunities

· Works intensively on inventory profile recommendations from a regional perspective.

· Team subject matter expert.

Requirements

· 6+ years marketing, internet business and electronic distribution industry experience required.

· Internal candidates: 4 years as Supplier Marketing Manager

o Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.

o Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role.
