Description

We are looking for an experience Sr. Sales Manager to join the JP Seller Service Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) team. This role will play a key role in launching a new service for Sellers that ship their orders to Customers. We are looking for a leader with experience in Business Development and Sales to help Sellers adopt our new service, which helps Sellers improve their Delivery Experience to Customers, and also help lower the cost of serving Customers. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new service launch, and to play a leading role in the Go-To-Market of the service.

The Sr. Sales Manager has end to end accountability for recruiting new Sellers to adopt our new service, and increasing selection using this new service. She or he will lead a team of Sales Account Managers to 1) create a data driven sales strategy with key input and output goals to grow the business, 2) execute the sales strategy with excellence by working with team members, 3) analyze Sales pipeline and multi-faceted Seller level data with team members to identify and solve Seller pain points, and 4) define new Sales processes to improved efficiency and productivity of the team.

The ideal candidate for this role enjoys building a team and coaching team members to grow, making data driven and customer centric decision making, collaborating with cross-functional local and global teams and stakeholders, successfully navigating through ambiguity, identifying and mitigating risks, and working autonomously.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop Seller Recruiting strategy with various stakeholders, and execute with excellence.

  • Identify and create business goals, and create plans to achieve strong growth goals.

  • Set and review individual Sales goals for each team members, and hold team accountable for performance.

  • Create new sales and lead generation processes to improve team productivity.

  • Attract top talent, develop a high performing team, and establish team culture embracing Amazon Leadership Principles.

  • Create mechanisms to track progress and report on the status on a regular basis.

  • Write insightful, actionable, and data/customer centric business review and strategy documents.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience using analytical, account management, and productivity tools, such as, Oracle Business Intelligence, SalesForce, Tableau, or similar

  • 7+ years in a Sales or Business Development role, 3+ years in a management position.

  • Fluent level Japanese with strong verbal negotiation skills.

  • Business level English to write business documents and to verbally communicate with senior leaders.

  • Proven track record of recruiting talent, managing and developing a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing automation, lead generation and nurturing experience

  • Experience in eCommerce, logistics
