Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies that align with the global business units’ strategy. Focus business areas products include ImmunoDiagnostics and Molecular Diagnostics. and other areas may be added as appropriate.

  • Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities to sell the Company’s products and capabilities to diagnostics and life science tool customers on a commercial supply basis.

  • Develop impactful key account strategies to accelerate growth and maximize revenues.

  • Understand customer’s requirements (product specification, quality and supply chain) and our own capabilities, suggesting

  • ideas both parties can agree, develop and execute supply agreements.

  • Initiate and develop productive client relationships in multiple functions (R&D, production, procurement, business

  • development, quality, regulatory affairs) with client companies and at multiple levels with them (scientist, project manager,

  • manager and occasionally executive levels).

  • Actively participate, and may lead, cross-functional teams to execute client opportunities that include legal, licensing, manufacturing, QA, marketing, R&D, etc.

  • Develop pricing proposals for large, complex, often multi-year deals and contracts. Make highly informed judgments of value

  • to the customer upon which to develop pricing proposals for highly customized products, for which easy benchmarks are often unavailable. Negotiate other terms and conditions.

  • Coordinates technical support to determine client needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely fashion.

  • Investigates product issues and ensures satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.

  • Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience in Life Science or Diagnostics

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry or equivalent

  • Fluent in Japanese and English

  • Dynamic and highly self-motivated individual

  • Responds flexibly and positively when faced with challenges and or complexities
