Description

Amazon Points is Amazon’s rewards program, currently offered exclusively in Japan. Amazon Points is one of Amazon’s most strategic initiatives in Japan where sizable segment of customers is passionate about points. Amazon Points aims to drive business growth and customer engagement across physical (e.g., books, electronics, sporting goods, fashion and food) and digital products (e.g., Kindle books). Our Points CX team looks holistically at the customer's shopping journey, and ensures that Points are able to be easily understood and utilized.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the Amazon Points CX team, you will invent new features, design systems, and develop code in highly scalable and reliable distributed services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations and work with technical teams within Amazon that span the globe. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that is higher than most projects and look forward to building systems that serve millions of users, every day. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
