Amazon Hub allows local small businesses to partner with Amazon to provide flexible and cost-effective delivery service to delight customers globally. This is an emerging Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery channel, and is on an exponential growth trajectory globally.

Hub Delivery Team in Japan is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to drive marketing driven partner acquisition program through standardization and mechanisms across a matrix organization and diverse international team. This individual will work with cross-functional leaders to gain alignment on common practices, policies, and prioritization across various central teams including product, marketing, network planning and quality as well as stakeholder teams such as ops integration, finance, risk and more.

Key job responsibilities

Marketing, Partner Experience and Acquisition: This individual will own the Online and Physical Marketing strategy for JP in close collaboration with global Marketing teams. Additionally work with local stakeholders to understand the unique needs of the region and translating them into business requirements. The individual will be responsible for building justification around JP initiatives on the WW marketing roadmap and advocating for prioritization of marketing and partner acquisition initiatives therein. Partner experience and marketing will also work hand in hand in order to build the necessary brand and marketing communication to develop our partner base. This will require full understanding of what are our partner experience is built on understand end to end on what engagement activities have on program branding. Keep track of such action items and monitor key performance indicators. Successfully doing so will lead to building a strong funnel of incoming leads, good on-boarding experience and to build long lasting partnership with our partners.

The work environment is diverse and may require working with people from different background and language skills, of both Japanese and English languages. Successful candidate not only is able to manipulate these two languages well, but approach this work through truly diverse mindset and is capable of overcoming language/cultural challenges through a strong personal skills.

A day in the life

Daily the individual will be checking on partner acquisition, marketing campaign performance, the incoming leads, and how the partner experience KPIs are trending.

We also anticipate this role to work closely with the Field OTR team who are execution team of the partner acquisition and experiences to build action trackers.

Work closely with operation to identify issues impacting marketing activities, and drive improvements together with global Marketing and Partner experience POCs. Identify program challenges that can be solved by process/tech implementation, and work with Business Intelligence Teams and Analytics team to understand acquisition metrics, increase visibility of the business needs to support business strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Business level of English and Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
