Microsoft Corporation Sales Manager in Tokyo, Japan

Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on empowering customers on their digital journey. This team is responsible for envisioning new possibilities for our customers, delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be an excellent communicator in Japanese and strong in English using comon sense to provide timely though economic (not excessively time consuming) updates to the team and wider stakeholders.

  • be able to handle a very large degree of daily complexity/variety within our customer, and within our own organization, coaching the sales team around prioritization to successful outcomes for our customer and for Microsoft.

  • think big picture while at the same time being across the tactical daily details of how the business is running, managed through the team, their daily, weekly, monthly habits/actions to outcomes.

  • recognize their team as their most valuable asset, coach, nurture, guide and develop NOT microcmanage, to build team, synergy and best results.

As a Sales Manager, you will drive digital technology transformation in partnership with your customers, to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes. You will lead a team of sellers to execute Go to Market strategy for your Industry/Territory.

Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft product portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital technologies.

With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against an account plan.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Customer Obsession

  • Deliver business growth through leading and empowering account teams. You will lead execution of Go to Market (GTM) to deliver customers’ business outcomes across their entire lifecycle.

  • Accelerate customer satisfaction and model executive engagements with business decision makers and C-level executives.

  • Maximize share of wallet, achieve targets (billed revenue, consumption, and adoption), and win against competition through flawless execution.

  • Lead partnership across the organization to achieve business value for customers and business results for Microsoft.

People Management

  • Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring of your team.

  • Develop, empower and transform your team to meet industry and customer needs by hiring, retaining, and developing talent.

Qualifications

  • Required: 6+ years experience in Sales.

  • Required: 3+ years people management experience.

  • Required: Your own well developed philosophy gained through your experience about managing people in a dynamic sales environment.

Language Qualification

  • Japanese Language: fluent in reading, writing, and speaking

  • English Language: business level in reading, writing, and speaking
