Google Regional Lead, Sales Residency Program, Cloud Academy in Tokyo, Japan

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a Go-to-Market organization either in Sales, Business Development or Pre-Sales.

  • 5 years of experience organizing training programs or creating training content.

  • 2 years of experience in people management and managing teams.

  • 2 years of experience working with leadership and stakeholders across organizational units and geographies.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently as the stakeholders' communication will be conducted in those languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with cloud role profiles such as Field Sales, Pre-Sales or Business Development.

  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and culturally diverse teams across JAPAC.

  • Experience in coaching and leading, with the ability to train others.

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud platforms.

  • Ability to build, manage and execute large-scale programs in a cross-functional and complex environment, and influence at executive levels without direct authority.

  • Ability to build strong relationships at every level of the organization.

  • Create a site location strategy in Japan, working with regional leadership (e.g., Director+) in Sales and technical domains, Staffing and Strategy and Operations, to accomplish program objectives.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders worldwide to localize and optimize content and materials, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with success criteria.

  • Design and implement Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC)-specific programming for our intensive training curriculum, including securing mentors for rotations and managing performance and progress of Cloud Academy residents throughout their training schedule.

  • Oversee a cohort of early career professionals (e.g., Residents), offering feedback, coaching, and resources, while assessing their readiness and advocating on their behalf.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver training, coaching and providing developmental feedback to residents.
