The Coca-Cola Company OU Finance Manager in Tokyo, Japan

A successful OU Finance Manager is one who can support a strong finance strategy within the Franchise to drive growth and profitability .

Focus, Scope, & Impact:

  • Partner with Japan Franchise team and OU Finance Director to support Franchise activities in Japan KO System, to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders, and to develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities, including:

  • Support franchise (bottlers) relationships at the local level

  • Prepare & support internal stakeholders on on-going negotiations

  • Quantitative and qualitative Bottler information

  • Support day-to-day financial decision making

  • Tracking of bottler financials focusing on topline and DMI investment

  • Support all Business Models and Margins within the Franchise, including:

  • Execution of business models optimization and system top line growth

  • Assessment and segmentation by bottler

  • New Economic Model enhancement towards next revision

  • Develop, implement Margin optimization strategy across the entire value chain

  • Bring margins discipline to operational business decisions

  • Track margins objectives at Franchise level

  • Leverage the network and execute locally Global margin strategy

  • Analyze and Support Working Capital and Cash Management :

  • Support Working Capital Optimization initiatives at Legal Entity / Franchise level

  • Cash management optimization Analyses

  • Support Optimization actions

  • Interact with local stakeholders (I.e: franchise general Managers)

KeY SUCCESS PARAMETERS

Knowledge & Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience i n financial planning or commercial finance roles

  • A highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels

Work Focus

  • Provide holistic understanding of business performance inside the Japan Franchise

  • Execute end-to-end business planning inside the Franchise, working cross functionally inside the organization and coordinating with the Operational Finance Lead.

  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating with bottlers

  • Deliver core financial strategies , practices and solutions, to grow business profitability in a sustainable way

Communication Focus

  • This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to:

  • Franchise finance leadership and teams (planning, resource allocation, customers and commercial fin ops)

  • Other OU teams under network organization (Customer and Commercial Leadership, Stills, Marketing teams)

  • Other Key Regional Stakeholders (customers, JVs, suppliers etc)

  • As a member of the OU Finance team, this role will be an individual contributor
