As a Group Manager, Occupational Health and Safety, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of global health and safety programs within your region and team. You will work to ensure that Microsoft employees have a safe and healthy working environment by recognizing risks and unsafe practices, identifying and leading improvement initiatives, and monitoring performance and compliance. You will help support implementing and ongoing management of the health and safety programs. You must be an experienced technical professional in occupational health and safety, with a history of success in implementing processes at a large company. We are looking for someone with experience working directly with global OHS stakeholders to manage compliance across various countries and someone who can be a thought leader with a collaborative mindset to help us shape our culture of health and safety through innovative, world-class offerings.

Responsibilities
As a Group Manager of OHS you will:
Be responsible for people management within your region by delivering success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring as well as attracting and retaining great people.
Be responsible for implementing global programs locally in your country and support a regional team in disseminating information related to OHS requirements and standards.
Help your team implement a communication framework to educate and build local awareness of OHS.
Provide teams with strategic guidance as they interpret and analyze reports and manage the documentation of the health and safety impact locally.
Partner with stakeholders via cross-functional projects and specifications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Environmental Worldwide Regulations, Sustainability
OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 12+ years Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations experience
OR Master's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 8+ years Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations experience
OR equivalent experience
5+ years of people management experience, including managing geographically distributed teams
Internationally recognized safety and health certifications
The complexity of our activities requires knowledge and technical capabilities in Occupational Health and Safety. Some examples of specific processes that this role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring include:
Supplier management
Experience developing and implementing OHS programs in alignment with ISO 45001 and local OHS regulations for countries you manage
Ergonomics within an office and lab environment
Working with teams in research and development labs on topics related to lasers, noise, respirator use, machine hazards, exposure assessment (Industrial Hygiene), heavy material handling, hazardous substances handling
