Citigroup Assistant Vice President, Facility & Project Manager in Tokyo, Japan

The Facility & Project Manager role provides both a strategic and operational support to Japan portfolio, including the management of data centers. The role is responsible to ensure the resiliencies of critical infrastructure management; the functionalities of physical assets; sound and safe environment for employees and customers; and quality facilities management services.

The position handles multiple functions and delivers corporate wide real estate projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise end to end facility management, physical operations, and maintenance of facilities.

  • Deliver construction projects as agreed with design and construction head, planning, control, and co-ordination of a project from inception to completion.

  • In charge of country’s ESG and Sustainability framework activities.

  • Performs assignments through both direct and indirect interaction with clients and insourced / outsourced staff.

  • Leverage vendor contracts and service agreements together with sourcing team.

  • Compliant with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Broad knowledge of other Facility related disciplines e.g. space planning, building regulations and best practice.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree

  • Risk and Control responsibilities: support Manages' Control Assessment and external and internal audits for facility management and project management. Support in Corrective Action Plan analysis and closures.

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets for all asset management capital works and one time expenses, tracking project and business-as-usual recurring expenditures, ensuring correct and timely bookings are made analyzing performance against plan.

  • Position has supervisory responsibility of Facility and Project supprot venders.
