Job Description

IFF is growing and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Corporate Security team. TheRegional Security Director for Latin America (LATAM)will play a critical role in protecting IFF’s people, operations, brands, products, intellectual property, and innovation across LATAM. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Chief Security Officer, the Regional Security Director will provide regional leadership to ensure a secure and safe workplace to minimize the impact of security threats, emergencies, crises, or potential crisis on company assets in the LATAM region. The position will be based in the LATAM region either in Mexico City, Sao Paolo, Bogota, or Buenos Aires. The Regional Security Director will provide advice and guidance on all corporate security-related issues, support crisis management and response, and maintain productive liaison relationships with internal business partners, external service providers, law enforcement, government agencies, and other entities as required.

About the candidate

• Promote awareness and ensure facilities are compliant with physical security standards/policy and business continuity plans.

• Crisis management support, including being responsible to provide knowledge and expertise to the regional Crisis Management Team and to assist with implementing a crisis management plan when needed.

• Conduct or assist in investigations into allegations of wrongdoing, suspicious activity, or workplace violence in coordination with internal stakeholders (HR, Compliance, and others) and external partners.

• Managing the regional travel risk management program by providing security guidance and resources to ensure the safety of employees to high or very high-risk areas in the region, provide pre-deployment briefings and on-call assistance as required.

• Provide oversight and consultation support for security technology projects including CCTV, access control and alarm systems in collaboration with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), IT, and others.

• Develop and conduct security related training for employees as needed in areas such as travel security, workplace violence, security awareness and loss prevention.

• Develop and maintain security-related networks including in-country law enforcement agencies, government intelligence services, private security companies, relevant regional security organizations including OSAC Country Councils, the Regional Security Officers, ASIS, ISMA, and others.

• Support Executive Protection and Special Event Security as needed in the region.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or related field.

• Prior law enforcement, military, and/or corporate security experience.

• Proficient in English and one regional language – e.g., Spanish or Portuguese.

• Experience conducting investigations on a variety of complex matters such as criminal activity, security violations, significant misconduct, intellectual property, trade secrets, etc.

• Proficient in conducting interviews under various circumstances.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Broad experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, database and training/presentation software.

• Ability to travel throughout the region as needed.
