Farnsworth Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in either or Lisle or Tinley Park, IL office. This position entails performing a wide variety of surveys in various locations. There is up to 50% expected travel. This is not a contract position; we are looking to fill a permanent position where you will have the opportunity to establish and develop a career in Land Surveying.

Job Activities:

  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

    • Boundary Surveys
  • Topographic Surveys

  • Construction Layout

  • As-Built Pipeline Surveys

  • 3D Scanning

  • UAV Surveys

Specific Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of property survey experience, including ALTA and Section Line Surveys

  • Experience with Trimble GPS, Total Station and Data Collectors

  • Ability to organize field notes

  • Ability to read Construction Plans

  • Experience performing Boundary Research, preferred

  • LSIT, preferred

  • Ability to execute field staking

  • Strong math skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • 80% travel required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Oil & Gas Pipeline experience

  • DOT experience
