Leader Communications Inc. Engineer in Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma

Position Summary

Provides support to the 76 Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) to include engineering services to verify and validate test station and Unit Under Test (UUT) Technical Documents in a systemic method. This includes associated test carts, test fixtures, associated locally managed technical orders, and USAF technical orders for UUT fuel accessories depot testing process. Edit and create locally managed Test Station Maintenance and Operations Manuals including Illustrated Parts Break Down manuals for the Jet Engine Fuel Accessories Test Stations listed below.

Note - This position is contingent on contract awards and funding which is anticipated in September 2024

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generates technical documents and corrections according to USAF Configuration and Control Policies, Regulations, and Technical Order format

  • Generates and edits all documents and drawings with the following electronic media; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)

  • Performs an equipment evaluation, provides recommendations, and submits technical documentation

  • Provides an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that includes the performance of a simultaneous hardware and software test station and UUT configuration and control evaluation and provides recommendations in writing for bringing the test station and UUT technical documentation into compliance with Air Force regulations and policies for weapon system component testing

  • Coordinates elements of concern with applicable Government SMEs during the evaluation and as activities proceed

  • Recommends hardware redesign the contractor shall identify in their recommendation potential impacts to the test station software as well

  • Recommends software change/update, to include establishing correct software CPIN numbers, the contractor shall identify potential impacts to the test station hardware in their recommendation

  • Generates all newly created technical documentation and technical documentation updates

  • Produces Engineering Drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor

  • Provides supervision and technical expertise leadership and mentoring to other team members

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors in Engineering in Mechanical or Industrial or (an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Accredited Engineering Degree

  • Minimal of 5 years experience

Skill & Certification Requirements

  • Autodesk AutoCAD

  • Autodesk Inventor

  • Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS)

  • Federal Logistics Data (FED LOG)

  • Joint Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistics Support System (JCALS)

  • Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS)

  • Logistics Installation and Mission Support – Enterprise View (LIMS-EV)

  • T.O. Remote

  • Proficient in business software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)

  • Strong ability to lead, guide, and mentor personnel; and multi-task

  • Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)

  • Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor

  • Extended Telephone Use

  • May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
