Continental Tax Specialist – Finance (TM) in Timișoara, Romania

  • Performing complex professional taxes and finance duties, involving the review of source documents used, maintenance of general ledgers, registers or other records and preparation of periodic and specific financial and tax reports in line with Romanian law, accounting standards and internal procedures;

  • Review the transactions and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes and regulations;

  • Fill in and verify the computation of specific tax declarations;

  • Responsible for SAF-T local declaration;

  • Assist in the development of business and investment strategies in service of an optimal tax return;

  • Confirm the accuracy of the accounting records with regards to type of expenses and revenue or impact of fiscal issues;

  • Maintain the communication between the organization and fiscal authorities and/or group tax department;

  • Stay up to date with changing tax codes and accounting laws and conduct research on tax compliance issues;

  • Books in the accountancy, using SAP system, the data related to taxes;

  • Prepares monthly closing by making reconciliations of the data related to taxes;

  • Prepares reports related to taxes and follows up the overdue situation for each customer from his/her area of responsibility;

  • Proposes and implements improvements of the procedures and tools related to his/her area of responsibility;

  • Suggest new policies and procedures designed to improve the efficiency tax reporting;

  • Knows company quality policy and the impact of his

  • Prepares data related to taxes for external and internal auditors.

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our procedures, products, tools, processes and organization.

  • University degree (Economics);

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the economical area;

  • 3-5 years of experience on taxes or direct contact with fiscal authorities;

  • Working within a corporation or large organization is a plus;

  • English Advanced;

  • Microsoft office advanced;

  • SAP intermediate;

  • Analytical and detail-oriented;

  • Solving complex problems;

  • Very good communication and team skills.
