Eaton’s EPG LAC PD Power Distribution division is currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

This position will be responsible for the sales in the Industrial Boost Segment. The primary segment focus is the sale of electrical distribution and control products throug established distribution channels. Meet with engineering firms, architectural firms, consultants, end users, and others to deliver technical presentations, write specifications, and build and grow key customer relationships within a given territory, also responsible for product training for internal and external audiences Market share growth, sales profitability and customer satisfaction will be the primary metrics for this assignment's success. Increase the net present value of Eaton’s relationship with these customers by driving near-term revenue and positioning us for larger wins in the future. Represent all the electrical group’s products and services and to position Eaton in a competitive advantage position for turnkey opportunities, lifecycle services, and capital projects.

Job responsibilities

• Develops and executes sales plans linked to Commercial Regional Plan, Profit Plan and Strategic Plan to meet performance expectations and requirements. Develop plans with assigned accounts including Mutual Marketing, training, visits, key accounts, incentive, rebates, forecast and strategic stock plans.

• Identifies most potential customers and business opportunities in the assigned territory to achieve monthly sales quotas. Participate in the design and specification of Eaton products in the first stages of electrical projects Within selected customers.

• Prepares weekly and monthly sales forecasts by customers and by product lines. Prepares monthly Projects Forecast (Quotation Log) and yearly Prospection Matrix. Prepares personal expense forecast for the own operation. Control and maintain all the expenses below the plan.

• Prepares sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness. To be ahead of the competitors when show technical advantages of Eaton products with the potential customers.

• Builds and strengths relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long-term business prospects.

• Prepares sales proposals based on customer needs and expectations by using Bid Manager Software or similar tools created by Eaton. Load all the opportunities into the Hit Rate Program and accomplish the PRO Launch ETO process. Follow up all the quotations until be allocated with the purchase order.

• Administers all phases of sales process to ensure effective and timely customer service and response. At the end of the month prepares the Commercial Operation Report (COR) with all the activities developed and Market information recollected.

• Sells assigned product platforms to targeted customers in designated geography with the objective of optimizing sales volume, product mix, and increase profit margin. Platforms include Services and Products.

• Pay attention and follow-up of the Credit & Collections actions of the assigned Customer Portfolio to avoid and solve any issue can drive into Credit Hold status.

• Meet any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special requirements of the company.

• Active participation in continues improvements programs and committees.

• Comply the Eaton Business System (EBS) its components and elements.

• Active support on audits and assessments.

• Know and comply the Policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security and Health (MESH)."

Qualifications:

Education level required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

Years and area of experience required

• Minimum of 3 years on electrical industry sales experience in a large company required.

Technical knowledge

• Electrical Control and Distribution Products and Services Knowledge.

• Experience utilizing Value Added Selling techniques.

• Experience at Master on sales, markets, products, investment, and strategies.

• Electrical service sales experience.

• Knowledge of Eaton products and their applications, electric control & distribution segment.

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English Spanish required.

• Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point).

• Capacity to manage several projects and decisions at the same time as well as interrelation with all kind people at all levels of the organization and with our customers, channels and end users."
