Bon Secours Mercy Health MRI Technologist in Tiffin, Ohio

MRI Technologist

Performs all procedures within the MRI section of the Radiology Department. Maintains appropriate records and documentation according to

Local Federal guidelines as appropriate and/or necessary. Observes all safety guidelines and performs any other duties which assist in the

provision of quality care according to the mission and values of the hospital.

Performs magnetic resonance imaging examinations, intravenous contrast injections in accordance with hospital guidelines and ensures safety public, and self. Prepares equipment and scanning area for patient procedures. Transport or escort patients to and from MRI area. Keeps areas stocked and room clean. Technologist cleans equipment per departmental policy after each patient use.

Performs all clerical duties needed to assist in the patient care process and demonstrates proper documentation of all patient care.

Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department. Maintains ethical relationships. May be requested to

assist in the development of techniques for procedures. Assist others in the department, requests assistance when necessary and demonstrates a team approach to patient care.

Operates and maintains equipment used and records all maintenance in log books, performs quality control testing as required by department assurance plan/coordinator.

Adheres to work schedule and will be available for possibly covering at other facilities within the Mercy Health Rural market.

Maintains competencies of a Radiologic/MRI Technologist as required by department, federal and state guidelines.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a demanding, fast paced environment with possible exposure to contagious disease and human body fluids.

Standing, walking, pushing, stooping and lifting are required. Required to maintain regular patient outpatient schedule, adjusting to

accommodate add-on inpatient and emergency room exams.

Required Minimum Education:

Specialty/Major: Radiologic Sciences/MRl

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: ARRT (MR), or ARRT(R) and other MR Accrediting bodies upon approval, ODH, current BLS certification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 2 years of MRI experience preferred, has a fairly detailed level of MRI knowledge and technical skills

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Gathers, organizes, verifies, and analyzes data in the completion of multi-step procedures.

Operates complicated equipment and completes quality analysis of imaging procedures to maintain the best quality possible.
