National Machinery Engineering & Manufacturing Systems Administrator in Tiffin, Ohio

National Machinery is currently searching for an Engineering & Manufacturing Systems Administrator for its headquarters in Tiffin, OH

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Engineering and Manufacturing groups within National Machinery by providing high performing, reliable Engineering and Manufacturing software solutions. Primary job responsibilities will include:

 

• Maintaining and upgrading existing Engineering systems and programs including but not limited to Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, and Infor PDM.

• Maintaining and upgrading existing Manufacturing CAM systems and programs including but not limited to MasterCAM, NX-IDEAS, GibbsCAM, and MazaCAM.

• Maintaining and upgrading existing Manufacturing systems and programs including but not limited to Zoller TMS, Progressive DNC, and ICAM. 

• Participate in the sourcing and implementation of future MES and QMS systems.

• Write or modify scripts and/or programs to support the integration of Engineering and Manufacturing systems with ERP, MES, and QMS systems. Additionally, must be able to coordinate development work to be completed by other members of the IT department. 

• Serve as primary troubleshooting point of contact for all users of Engineering and Manufacturing systems through texts, calls, e-mails, and ticketing system.

• Act as liaison between system users and IT department staff to resolve Engineering and Manufacturing system performance issues relating to network and/or infrastructure.

• Act as liaison to key Engineering and Manufacturing system vendors for maintenance, support, issue escalation, and license negotiations and renewals.

• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Engineering and Manufacturing groups related to the performance of Engineering and Manufacturing systems.  Propose projects to implement the improvements.

• Assist in the sourcing and implementation of new Engineering and Manufacturing systems and programs

• Develop and oversee testing plans across all business functions for engineering software installations as well as patches/updates to existing programs to validate functionality prior to launch.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM

• Experience with CAD and ERP integrations

• Ability to code in VB.Net or C#

• Ability to write SQL Queries

• Associate's Degree in a Manufacturing, Engineering, or IT field.

• 5 years experience in a similar role

• Ability to work and accomplish goals with minimal direction

• Customer service mentality 

• Ability to make decisions independently

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or IT field.

• Experience with a standalone PDM system or a PDM module integrated within an ERP system

• Experience with an MES and QMS system.

• Experience with CAD/CAM in a Manufacturing Environment 

• Previous experience supporting manufacturing operations

• Previous experience supporting global engineering functions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• On-site role

• Office and shop environment. 

• Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required

• Global operations requires 24 x 7 availability on a limited basis
