DENTAL HYGIENIST WITH SIGN ON BONUS $8,000.00

Hours:  Full Time - Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm or Monday through Wednesday 8:00am-8:00pm - $8,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Starting Pay:  $31.50 per hour depending on experience

 

POSITION PURPOSE: The Dental Hygienist will provide direct provision of oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients at HPWO. Also, will be responsible for providing appropriate oral health information to individuals and groups. Under general supervision in an outpatient clinical setting, provides initial patient triage, registration, and administrative services, assists with direct patient care, performs specialized dental procedures of a routine nature as dictated by established dental protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS

*EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: *High School Degree or GED Required. CPR -- BLS (basic life support) required. Graduate from an accredited school of dental hygiene. Current and unrestricted license to practice Dental Hygiene in the State of Ohio.

 

*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: *Successful completion of in-house training.

*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: *Computer experiences desirable.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Patient Interviewing skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
  • Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse staff and patient population.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with HPWO management and medical staff members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices.
  • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Assists in the oral health management of all dental patients.

Obtains baseline oral hygiene assessment data based upon accepted principles of oral hygiene and periodontal care.
