What does a successful Accounting - Sr Associate II do at FISERV ?

  • Timely and accurate processing of journal entries.

  • Ensure Month End timetable responsibilities are completed by due date (i.e., relevant month end journals, analysis, reconciliations & supporting back-up, ESSBASE & HFM loads, schedules for US)

  • Timely perform balance sheet reconciliations with minimal open items

  • Interco Reconciliations and review of Interco Charges as per timetable due date

  • Regular follow-up to close open items, if any.

  • Cross train on tasks / activities on other team members

  • Timely Update and create requisite Process Documentation

What will you do:

  • Has an excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.

  • Monthly bank account and all general ledger reconciliations

  • Validation of data from payroll system to registers, mapping GL account translations. Preparing journal entries for bi-weekly / semi-monthly payroll and accrual entries.

  • Accounting for restructuring related activities like Severance, Relocation, Retention, non-working notice

  • Accounting for Employee rewards, commissions, Workers Compensation, Signing bonus, Annual Bonus and Fringe

  • Preparing entries for monthly salary recharges to other cost centers with approvals from relevant business finance owners.

  • Completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting schedules and correspondence with Corporate Accounting division in US in line with set timetable

  • Preparing & submitting Balance Sheet reconciliations in Blackline and BPC.

  • Preparing Restructuring roll forward schedules and reporting slides.

  • Timely Update and create requisite Process Documentation

What will you need to know:

  • Sound accounting knowledge, understanding of debits and credits.

  • Experience in performing balance sheet reconciliations

  • Knowledge and application of GAAP

What would be great to have:

  • Experience in compensation accounting in US based entities.

  • Qualification - B.com/ MBA / CA

  • No of years of experience needed – 5 to 6 year

  • Shift timings (if any) - 12:30 to 9:00 (Flexible during Month end as per business requirement )
