Underground Utility Construction Foreman

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (with some overtime expected)

Pay: $40 - $50 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan and manage site development and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Crew Supervision: Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring safety and productivity goals are met.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and standards.

  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of work, ensuring it meets project specifications and standards.

  • Coordination: Communicate and coordinate schedules with general contractor, superintendent, and subcontractors.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and address operational challenges or issues that arise during the project.

  • Equipment Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment involved in utility work, such as excavators, pumps, backhoes, and loaders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in underground utility construction, including both dry and wet utilities.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using construction equipment and understanding of trenching, grading, and shoring techniques.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate crews.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction.

  • Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
